MOSCOW, July 16 (Xinhua) — Russia registered 25,704 new coronavirus infections over the past 24 hours as the Delta variant continues to spread, taking the nationwide tally to 5,907,999, the official monitoring and response center said Friday.
The center reported a record number of 799 coronavirus-related fatalities in the past day, raising the national death toll to 146,868, while the number of recoveries grew by 21,932 to 5,300,908.
